Working at Mars Investigations
Veronica Mars is investigating another disappearance in Neptune. It's early—too early for the spring breakers nursing hangovers to be outside making a ruckus, but not too early for her to be nursing her own with a cup of coffee. It's Sunday too, so the traffic outside is light and breezy. Veronica digs up dirt online and shifts through the case file. Every once in a while, she shoots a few pics of the seagulls across the street. She might be a hardboiled P.I., but somewhere under that black leather jacket, deep down in the cockles of her heart, she's still soft like a marshmallow. And who knows, maybe one of the gulls will drop some evidence. They know more than they let on.
