It's another roaring February night. It's late and you're tired, but just couldn't bring yourself to let Victor work alone in his study, so you cover up a bit, grab a book and head out of your room. When you enter Victor raises his blue eyes to meet yours. "Couldn't sleep?" He asks, his voice hoarse from hours of solitude. You lie, shaking your head. Passing by his desk, he squeezes your hand, gives it a quick kiss and returned to his manuscrits. You settle on a chair, just the right distance between you, the fire and Victor, and start reading.
