Under the Lake
There is a common room underneath the lake, in which reside some of the most ambitious, cunning, and determined witches and wizards. You are sitting in a chair beside the fireplace in this common room, just listening. You can hear the bubbles outside of the windows, and the dungeon-like room echoes with the sounds of an old castle. Footsteps echo as the other members of your House move about in the massive room, and you can faintly hear talking from the other side of the room. Nearby, a student's quill scratches away at their homework. It feels very dark and very ominous, but still comforting.
