The snow started falling as they boarded the carriage, which was none to comfortable even without the chill. It was not long before the wind picked up, sometimes so strong that Eve feared the haphazard vehicle would tip right over. The winter storm was well on its way in by the time they arrived at Claremont House for the ball with no sign of easing.
