Prentisstown
Prentisstown is a settlement of New World, a supposedly germ-infested planet in which all of men's thoughts are projected in a never-ending chaos called Noise. Prentisstown has a painful and secret history, and has doomed itself to extinction after the death of every woman in the settlement. A regular day in Prentisstown is loud and annoying, and it is hard to find any sort of peace as the Noise of those around you is constantly being projected.
