It's been a tiring day for The Queen's Thief of Eddis. But his little anteroom to the Queen's Library is peaceful and quiet. Rain falls outside and Gen sits at his desk- his head bent over his books- taking notes on Archimedes. He smiles, remembering a comment about olives. A new stack of books from the Magus sits on the windowsill, awaiting his study, and a fire crackles in his fireplace. For now, the mountain country remains safe, her peace secured with the help of her Boy Hero. But a rumbling of thunder in the distance signals a new season for Eddis... and for Her Thief.
