Criminal Minds Jet

The team is glad to finally have time to relax. Prentiss is sitting alone by a window, head leaned against the frame of its cool glass. She tries her best to forget everything about the past UNSUB, but the case has carved itself into her mind. Hotch is thinking about Haley and Jack, and how he can't wait to see them again, as he tries to get ahead on paperwork. He knows, though, that there will always be another killer. Morgan sits next to him, trying to read his book. He finds himself skimming the same page over and over, not able to read more than a paragraph without his mind wandering to the sight of the victim in the morgue. Reid is sitting in front of an untouched chess game, admiring the pieces as they sit in their starting positions. He wonders if he will be able to sleep tonight. JJ is sprawled out across the couch, tucked under a light blanket. Her eyes are closed and her breathing slowed, but the pure bliss brought by sleep has not yet reached her. Rossi sits nearest to you, but not entirely close. He is fiddling with the World Series ring on his finger, thinking about how much he would give to be watching a Cubs game instead of contemplating the complexity of the previous case. You know he is the most deserving of a break, but he will not give himself one.

You sit against a window as well. Maybe you are skimming through papers, preparing yourself for the paperwork that Hotch will insist you don't have to do. But of course, you will decline every one of his offers. Maybe your eyes are also closed and you are seconds away from sleep. Just once, you wish you could get some sleep and become ignorant of the horrors you see every day.
