Howling Good Reads
A mid-winter blizzard rages through Lakeside. Simon Wolfgard, leader of the Lakeside Courtyard, fills book orders while the humans he’s allowed to remain in the shop make their purchases and move next door to the attached cafe, A Little Bite. A few giggly females have crowded around the displays at the front of the store to get a better view of the Watch Wolf on duty, Nathan Wolfgard. Every so often, Nathan howls to make the gaggle squeak. Jake Crowgard perches on the front counter and squawks whenever Crystal Crowgard, who is working the register, reaches for one of the sticks that he’s arranging into some sort of complicated design.
