Hercule Poirot's London flat
Agatha Christie's brilliant Belgian sleuth, Hercule Poirot, sits in his London flat (Whitehaven Mansions). Son ami Hastings snores gently in his armchair, while efficient secretary Miss Lemon types in the next room. Occasionally the telephone or doorbell rings--a new client or witness has information. But Poirot will not be disturbed right now. He stirs his tisane and sits with his eyes closed, ignoring the city noises and focusing only on solving the case with his "little grey cells".
