Birthday Party Interlude
This is supposed to be an ambiance for the end of the Percy Jackson book The Battle of the Labyrinth by Rick Riordan, when Percy goes into his room during his fifteenth birthday party. He unloads his blue birthday cake and his camp accoutrements onto his dresser, and in the process of emptying his pockets he finds a sprig of moonlace in the pocket of the shirt he'd been wearing since Calypso's island. He goes out to the apartment's little fire escape/balcony and plants it, in remembrance of Calypso. Nico finds him there, to talk to him about Kronos's rising and the prophecy, but Percy sees Nico needs a bit of comfort and family, if only for a little bit. He invited him to share in his birthday party. That made me so happy :) (P.S.: the "cash register sound" was the closest I could find to the noise of Nico dropping onto the metal of the fire escape)
